Abdulateef currently serves as the Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Anbar. He is also the Managing Editor of the Anbar Journal of Agricultural Sciences, which is indexed in Scopus. His research expertise lies in animal behavior and endocrinology. Dr. Abdulateef is an active member of the Advisory Board for the QS World University Rankings and serves as an Ambassador for Crossref in Asia. Throughout his career, he has held several key positions, including Director of Scientific Research, Director of the Academic Journals Unit, and Member of the Scientific Sobriety Committee for Scientific Research and Publications. In addition to his extensive academic contributions, he has played a pivotal role in indexing more than 10 scientific journals in prestigious databases such as Scopus and Clarivate, significantly enhancing their global visibility and impact. With a distinguished academic record, Dr. Abdulateef has authored more than 44 scientific papers in his field, contributing substantially to advancements in animal science and endocrinology. Duties and authorities of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs 1. Organizing final exam schedules in coordination with the academic departments. 2- Organizing weekly lectures schedules in coordination with the academic departments and in light of the classrooms to ensure the smooth running of postgraduate studies. 3- Supervising the weekly lectures record prepared for this purpose to ensure that all the hours allocated for each subject are covered, in accordance with the applicable instructions in this regard. 4- Monitoring the attendance and discipline of postgraduate students in accordance with applicable regulations and instructions. 5- Reviewing applications for admission to postgraduate studies after they are received from the academic department, unifying them, and submitting them to the university presidency. 6- Reviewing cases of transferring postgraduate studies from other universities to postgraduate studies at the college and referring them to the relevant academic departments for consideration and contacting the relevant authorities. 7- Follow up on postgraduate students in terms of time periods and their availability to study in accordance with regulations and instructions. 8- Participating in the meetings of the college’s postgraduate studies committees when invited by them to discuss postgraduate studies matters according to the departments’ specializations in order to ensure good performance. 9- Preparing a statement for the graduate student’s discussion one week before the discussion date, preparing the minutes of the discussion committees, evaluating them, and submitting them to the college council. 10- Supervising the preparation of annual statistics related to postgraduate studies in the college. 11- Handing over and receiving exam books in accordance with the applicable rules. 12- Announcing the exam results after they are approved by the postgraduate studies committees in the scientific departments and according to the specialization. 13- Providing academic departments with grades according to a form prepared for this purpose for approval by postgraduate studies committees. 14- Coordinating with the academic departments regarding the delivery of exam questions for the first and second semesters, in accordance with what is practiced in undergraduate studies. 15- Addressing official departments regarding everything related to the graduate student’s career, from registration to graduation. 16- Addressing the university presidency/postgraduate studies department regarding everything related to the graduate student’s resume. 17- Addressing official offices to obtain their proper approvals regarding the attendees after determining their names and offices by the relevant academic department. 18 Signing annual bonus and promotion forms for graduate studies employees in his capacity as the highest authority.
